Women runners and walkers

Vancouver Front Runners welcomes women runners and walkers of all levels and experiences. Women participate in both the Wednesday-evening recreational run and the Saturday-morning recreational run and walk.

Women and men with a range of experience exercise and socialize together in a supportive and inviting environment.

Activities

Women participate in the post-run activities such as dinner and brunch as well as special events like BBQs, movie nights, and social gatherings.

Roles

Women have a long history of participation in Vancouver Frontrunners as is shown on the history page. And women continue to play an important role: the club has women who participate regularly as walkers and runners, and the board has a women's coordinator who promotes women's participation.

Runners

VFR offers women something for all skill levels and goals, whether you are just starting to run, wanting to run more, or looking to achieve a personal best in your next race.

On your first few visits you'll be teamed up with a VFR member of similar ability to show you the route. You might well find yourself in a group that runs faster than some of the men. :-)

Walkers

VFR offers a walking group for women and men on Saturday mornings at Brockton Oval. You need only show up. A walk leader decides what route the group follows.
