ING James Cunningham Seawall Race
October
31, 2004
The James Cunningham is run annually in honour of the man who built the Stanley Park seawall. The route is 9.5 km.
We put together two equally talented, mixed running teams this year and both did very well, second and third in their category. Some of us ran in our Halloween costumes and some of us got to show off our duds on stage afterwards. Congratulations to Richard Luscombe for his cheerleader costume and the well deserved recognition. Oh yes, we also had some rather impressive individual running results.

run and walk raised $1,817 in support of the Dr.

run 10 km or walk 4 km through Stanley Park. Many
thanks to them and all the volunteers and also
to the passer by, whoever he was, who up and
donated $50!
The results were:
-Michael Ross, fastest man
-Kristen Catton, fastest woman
-Nigel Pottle, fastest walker

Vancouver
Pride Parade
August 1, 2004
Pride Parade Race Event
Vancouver Front Runners held a race on the parade
route just prior to the parade. At the encouragement
of the crowd, some members--who will remain nameless--pulled
their shirts off! However, we got the crowd back
by spraying them with a water gun.
Sunset Beach Festival
The club set up an information booth at the festival
after the parade. We signed up ten new Front Runners.
Sixteen others asked the club to follow up with
more information. Hundreds more dropped by to
check out the booth.
