Event coordinators
Vancouver Front Runners is looking for help coordinating the club's participation in the following events:
- James Cunningham Seawall Race, Sunday, October 31, 2010
- Fall Classic, November 2010
- A Sunday morning brunch at your place!
- A race that you're interested in. Let us know what it is!
Coordinating VFR's participation in an event is a great way to contribute to the life of your club. You pretty much get to handle it however you want: run the event in a modest way or go all out and let your creative juices flow. To learn more about the club's guidelines and how much fun you're going to have, contact club president, Patrick Tham, at pkctham at yahoo dot ca.
To get you started, here are some ideas about how to coordinate your event:
- Review your ideas with Patrick.
- Arrange for someone to take photos.
- Send an outline of your plans to stanley.ulmer at gmail dot com to have them published on the website.
- Advertise the event through vfr_open_forum at yahoo dot com.
- Keep track of who participates and their results.
- Let us all know how it went afterwards by summarizing the event through vfr_open_forum. Your audience is members who didn't take part. Pretend that they have been unaware of the event. Let them know what the event was and how the club participated. (Who, what, where, when, why.) Send out your note shortly after the event so that it's timely.
- Email detailed results and pictures to vanfrontrunners at gmail dot com so that we can archive them and have them available for the website.
