Welcome to the home of Pride Run & Walk, the first official event of the Vancouver Pride Festivities. Here at Vancouver Frontrunners, we’re incredibly excited for a great event ahead of us.
Every year, Pride Run & Walk continues to grow bigger and brighter and we look forward to outdoing ourselves once again. We hope you will find all the information you need on this site, and if you’ve never been to a Pride Run before then be sure to browse through our collection of photos from previous events to get an idea of just how bright and colourful our big day is!
You can also find us on Facebook and join our event page. Invite your friends, bring your colleagues, spread the word, and let’s make it the best year yet!
What is Pride Run & Walk?
Pride Run & Walk is an annual event hosted by the Vancouver Frontrunners, a local LGBTQ2+ running and walking club. Pride Run & Walk was born out of the notion of wanting to give back to our community. The main goal is to raise funds that go directly to our community beneficiaries which are Out in Schools and the LOUD Foundation’s Pride Youth Scholarship Fund. Our second goal is to have fun! This is an event put on by a local community club and a team of volunteers that benefits the community.
We join forces with the Vancouver Pride Society (VPS) in an effort to putting on a bigger event while streamlining costs and efforts. The cheaper it is to host the event, the more money we can donate. Following Pride Run is the Pride Societies Picnic in the Park that will bring together members of the LGBTQ2+ community and their allies together for a fun, active, and inclusive day of celebration at Second Beach.
